    Blue Engine?
Post by rumplecat on Oct 1, 2006, 3:13pm

While I was changing the oil I noticed how gummed up the insice of the oil filler neck was I gave it a pull and it came right out except for the hose attached, it was not a real tight fit, is this normal? Anyway I cleaned up the neck to repaint it. the paint color under the grime was a "light" navy blue, with a little scrubbing the engine block looks the same color, was this the factory color?

The hose that is in the oil filler neck was, I thank A wire mesh to prevent large debri out of the engine.I do know, if you shove that metal to far in the neck the lifters will hit it and then you eill be wandering were the metal came from the next time you change the oil.
