It is. You can find it in little Jeeps, 6X6's, tanks, Hemmits, Hummers, misc tracked vehicles, etc.
It has been standard for a long time.

the one for the kaiser at work is dead and we are incorperating it into the new build so we have to replace it

The entire electrical system was designed to be common to all mv's, the design was adopted in 1949 starting w/ the m-38 jeep an added to each new vehicle after that. Most all switches, lights, gauges, generators, regulators (later alternators), all the same as far as mounting an wiring, even wiring code is the same to all vehicles. Excepting m-880's and m1008,1009 these vehicles were relaxed from the standard to keep costs down.
