Toss the springs all around, cut some plywood bases and then pick up some 4" high-density foam for the bottoms, and some 2" high-density foam for the backs. Works quite nicely in my 715.
I picked up a set of new seat covers in canvas from Vintage Power Wagons for $110.
Yes the springs offer poor support an tend to give a very bouncy ride w/ lots of bottoming out also. Actually I have seen premoulded foam bottoms for the duece seats but im not sure who has any, maybe they know at steel soldiers.
