Sorry, I only built 2 at the time I was working on it. Once I finished mine and determined that I would not need the backup one, I sent it to 40grit for helping me with some questions I had. I no longer have access to the water jet that we used to cut them out with, as my buddy no longer works there. The raised edge was done with a bead roller and was a pain in the arse to do.

Barrman, please don't take offense to the following comments, as I am only using your photos as an example.

The bezels on those gauges are exactly what I had referred to as "looking through a tunnel" in a previous thread. I like the smaller bezels found on some other gauge manufacturers.

    Dave,

You likely could have paid for the restoration of that nice M715 you've got if you had just mass-produced those gauge panels.

I agree about the bezels. Unless you are lined up just right, you can't see all the numbers. I wasn't posting that to say "This is best." I was just showing different options. Dave post his panel everytime this comes up and I do mine everytime it comes up. It has been about once every 4-5 weeks for the last 6 months. I just figure the more versions somebody sees, the more ideas get formed. Build your truck the way you want. It is yours to enjoy.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

    Beast and Barrman...

You two are doing waaaaaaaaaaaaay too good of a job ..it's making me go back multiple times to correct stuff to try and make it look as good as you guys have done ....very, very nice work...2 great examples of really nice work...

can I just drop my truck off and let you two finish it?

Oh, wait, I've got a standing request to go Moab wheeling with Taco when both of us finally get done( scheduled for 2050, LOL), so most of the sheet metal will need repairing again later ..

I did pay for most of my restoration by selling the decal kits. Back in 2004 only a few were interested in them and some guy claimed he could make them cheaper than I could produce them for, so I told him to go ahead and start making them. Like most he quickly figured out that the time and material would cost him more than he thought and he quickly disappeared from the Zone. If I where to try and have them made again I'm sure that they would be expensive because I would have to pay the water jet shop thier fees to cut them out. I can call and find out a price if there are enough people interested in them.

I really liked Beast's setup but I ain't got a water-jet or a bead-roller, so I went with VDO and got the smaller 2.5" Tach, also added tranny temp.

Sorry to hijack your thread Todd. Is there really that big of a demand for the gauge panels? I don't want to take business away from you or anything Beast, but I have access to a laser cutter and CAD at work. So I might be able to cut out gauge panels in whatever design people wanted. Plus, I've always wanted an excuse to go buy a bead roller, lol. You did a wonderful job on your gauge panel, by the way, I really like it.

On a side note, your still makeing the decal kits right Beast? I might be interested in 2 sets sometime this summer.

If we're talking decal sets, I'd be in for some.

I have the Autometer gauges like Barrman also.
