Default Another new member from Russia

    Hi, Gents!

Let me introduce myself as a new member.
I am the owner of M715. I bought it 2 months ago and it is the only one M715 in Russia. The guy who is car collector bought it Kansas at brought to Russia in April 2013. I am the member of living history group (Vietnam War), so the truck is aimed to fill “tour of duty”.
We put troop seats on it, in the nearest plans to change cab roof to canvas one and purchase bows and canvas to cargo bed. Some electrical works also shall be done.
We read the site for 2 months, but any of your advises and comments will be very welcome.

Good thing there is a star on the side, so that you can tell it apart from the Ladas.

    Welcome to the group.

Very nice truck indeed! Welcome to the Zone.

Do many people ask about the National Symbol (star) on the door?
Do you need a special permit?

Yep, I like the hard top too...

I don't see anything that is not stock, or anything missing besides what You mentioned, to be period correct for its "tour of duty" with the Vietnam History Group.

The only thing I see is those red stickers on the windshield...
everything else looks Cresiviya Sobaka. : )

    Welcome to the Zone SGTMitsner.
Looks Like You got a Great Truck there, and the Only one in Russia...
Pretty cool to be able to say that !

    Thanks, Gents!

Nice to have the opportunity to communicate with you.

Re change hard top to canvas one.
I was told that no one M715 in Vietnam had hard top. Also at all photos I find from that period was no hard top. We also concern about leaking of the canvas top, but authenticity is more important. Above that we are going to maintain Browning M2HB at the cargo bed. So it shall look like M715 belong to Beast (bumper No. 313 ASA)
We remove red stickers from the windshield.

Our M715 was imported as antique, not as a car. We can drive it either at special events or out of the roads. We move it from garage to our events on the wrecker. No special permit for army marking we need. Most of people knowns that symbol.

We will be very thankful if somebody can advise us re bumper marking.

One more photo from military show "Battlefield 2014". Our base and our truck

Thanks for the complements, my truck is inspired by a few pics I had found of M715's with .50s mounted in the bed in Vietnam.

Your bumper markings are for the 4th Armored Div in Germany, the 589th doesn't seam to match any 4th Armored units, and the HQ22 means it would have been used by the Headquarters Company as the 22nd Unit in order of march.

    Hi, Dave!

Your M715 looks really great - it it an example for us.
For sure our bumper marking do not correspond with Vietnam era. We want our "5/4 Quarter" belongs to Company C, 1st Bn 2nd Inf Reg, 1st Inf
    Division.
I look through TB 746-93-1 and as far as I understand the front bumper markings shall be as follows:
    Left side - 1-1B2
Right side - C-3 (3rd car in the pool)

But from the discussion (unit markings) I expect that left side shall be 1I 1/2BN

    Some other sources give 1-2INF and 1INF 1/2 (http://www.vintagemilitarytrucks.com...Texas_2005.jpg)

Since you are the expert in M715 in Vietnam War please kindly advise your opinion.

Am I right that you use M31C Pedestal mount for your M2HB? Or it M4?

And this is another one nice photeset of your M715?

    Thank you in advance
