Top arrived today, very nice as usual. Some details such as re-enforcements on corners and draft flap across inside back which the original tops had. Also ordered the pioneer straps at the same time. More progress on blasting today.
Yes, that is my M886 converted to my commo truck.
Not overly exciting but I found the last two pieces I needed to complete the original exhaust system.
Can I ask, where did you find them?
They were in a lot of used M715 parts on ebay.
Tools and headlights finished. Interesting that the headlight connectors are metal Douglas and external they are the rubber Packard, wonder if all M715's are like that ?.
I think that the "Douglas" connectors were for older vehicles, for instance the 3/4 Ton Dodge. Everything on any M-715 that I have seen was all Packard connectors.
Yes all M-series vehicles are that way. The 24v headlights were standardized when the Douglas connectors were in use and since the were already in the supply chain with them, they left all the lights with Douglas from the light to the housing but then changed the housing to vehicle to Packard to match everything in the newer M-series vehicles.
