    Default 727 auto trans going to a divorced NP200 / NP205

M715 with 1st generation cummins / 727 2 wheel drive transmission mating to a divorced transfer case.. the yolk on the transmission is alot bigger than the NP200 yolk.. they don’t make a U joint that goes from those 2 sizes . if i swapped to a 205 are the yolks more compatible with the 727.. it has a nut holding the yolk on the 727.. I do have a lead on a 205 divorced out of a early dodge

Can you get a smaller yoke for the transmission? Or get a new yoke put on your jack shaft that matches the trans output. I think a visit to a good driveline shop is in order, they might have a simple fix for your problem.

The NP205 requires new mounts to be fabbed...you probably know that...but it is a better tcase in that it will let you run higher rpms at road speed than the NP200 and its a through drive without all the whining that the NP200 has at speed...Strength wise, there pretty even...

Sounds like a nice setup you are working on...interested in hearing more!

There are a lot of different spline and u-joint sized yokes out there. NW fab, Sky manufacturing, Ruff Stuff, driveshaft super store, offroad design, Denney's driveshaft, Northern drivetrain, to only name a few. Trust me there is something made for what you want. Those are just a couple bookmarks I have kept from my searches. Count your splines and decide what u-joint you want to run and start searching. I bet you are able to find what you desire. I changed everything over to 1350 and 1410 which are true one ton..
