Morning all,
I am thinking of installing a 2 barrel carb set up in my truck. I bought a civy eng a few years back with one on it. My only question is how do I set up the accelerator cable.

I am trying to find the pictures for you of how I did it mine when I had it. No luck so far. I posted them on the old board and Jon's looked similar. I will keep looking though, they have to be on one of these computers.

I can take pics if you need Koob...it is really easy.
Stock cable comes out and needs to run down the drivers side of the carb....it turns around the front of the carb and hooks up. The return srping gets hooked to the valve cover holddown right in line with the throttle...there is a little hole in it like it was made for that very thing.
On the drivers front corner of the carb, the holddown bolt is longer than it needs to be...its a shoulder bolt and wont go all the way in to get tight...this is using the stock bolt from the civvy engine...a regular thickness washer makes a perfect shim.

Well lookie here...the pics are still out there...these were all taken from the drivers side front corner of the carb...note the bracket the cable is on....you need that piece...and you can see the washer on the shoulder bolt...note the return spring in the last pic:
