I got my tires this week, I am going out to the shop this afternoon to go through all the parts and I will take plenty of pictures to post up soon.
here are some pictures.
My motor will start going together this week and I hope to have some pictures of that before I have to head back overseas.
I got it out today and drove it around town. It was a little cold wth no top and 39 degrees outside but it was still fun to drive.
I picked up my transmission and transfer case this morning. I didnt realize it was a slip yoke 205 but I got a great deal on it so I will either find an SYE kit for it or sell it and buy another 205. Anyone know where to find a good SYE kit.
found an SYE kit on advance adapters that will work fine.
man this is going to be a sweet build, im gong to keep a eye on this. always wanted to do rockwells on my truck. goodluck!
my signature is sweet huh?
the output and bearing retainer from any fixed yoke 205 will work just fine. if i was closer to the stockpile i have in iowa i could hook you up. i am sure you can find one cheaper than AA.
finding a transfer case that will bolt up in place of that one may be difficult. you have the somewhat rare round pattern 205 if i am seeing it right. the only round pattern ones that came stock with a fixed rear yoke came from the four door trucks with the 2 piece driveline.
if you don't mind me asking, what did you have to ogive for that set up? i am curious because in the process of my build i ended up buying one and shipping from maine.

I got the combo for 300 and I found it only about 70 miles away on craigs list.
here are some of my engine parts. I am going to be right around 9.3 to 1 compression on a SBC 383 stroker. We are building to be right around 450 hp
and here is some of the work I did today, the doors had a lot of surface rust on them so I took them off and sanded them down then put back all the hardware for the door latches and window cranks
