The brass could be coated too.
They sure look like brass, and no rust has shown up yet. I'm going to try de-icing salt: that stuff is hyper-corrosive.
They are brass.
They will turn brown soon enough.;)
A propane torch should oxidize them pretty quickly. Darken them, anyway, not pretty green. If you haven't installed them, that is.
They're not laquered, are they?
I've used liver of sulphur from Rio Grande, too.
